How To Launch and Use Microsoft Quick Assist

Quick Assist is a tool that allows you to get help with your computer remotely. Simply follow the steps below to connect with someone who can assist you.

  1. Search for Quick Assist
    Type "Quick Assist" in the Windows search bar and click on the app to open it.                                                                 
  2. Enter the Code
    When Quick Assist opens, you’ll see two sections: Get Help and Help Someone. Under the Get Help section, enter the code you were given by one of our technicians.                                            
  3. After entering the code, click Submit to proceed.
  4. Allow Screen Sharing
    A window will pop up asking if you want to allow screen sharing. Click Allow to grant permission.                                                                                           
  5. Allow remote controlOur technicians may request to take over the control of your device to complete necessary work. If the control is requested, you will receive a pop-up at the top of your screen
  6. End the Session

    Once the issue is resolved, you or the receiver can end the Quick Assist session by clicking the Leave button within the app.
