How To Launch and Use Microsoft Quick Assist

Quick Assist is a tool that allows you to get help with your computer remotely. Simply follow the steps below to connect with someone who can assist you.

  1. Search for Quick Assist
    Type "Quick Assist" in the Windows search bar and click on the app to open it.                                                                 
  2. Enter the Code
    When Quick Assist opens, you’ll see two sections: Get assistance and Give assistance. Under the Get assistance section, enter the code you were given by the helper.                                            
  3. Click 'Submit'
    After entering the code, click Submit to proceed.
  4. Allow Screen Sharing
    A window will pop up asking if you want to allow screen sharing. Click Allow to grant permission.                                                                                           
  5. End the Session

    Once the issue is resolved, you or the receiver can end the Quick Assist session by clicking the Leave button within the app.
